Benzaldehyde reactions help 6 years 10 months before #9980

I don't know how to make them react with those reagents that you give me, the first I think is simply a condensation and it would be: PH-COH2-CO-CH2-CO-CH3
But I don't know how to take the other two

Thank you so much

Thank you very much, with respect to the last one I managed to get it out more or less before you solved it, but one question, could not the acid be converted directly to an amide through NH3, without the passage of the halogen?

Hello fellow, if you are correct, the pyrolysis of ammonium salts of carboxylic acids is a method to prepare amides, but in Organic Synthesis they teach us that it is not enough for a reaction to occur, but that it must also have a good yield (professional deformation, hahaha), in these pyrolysis the yields are variable, that's why one looks for ways with higher yield.
