Peak Tailing in PAHs with GC-MS 1 month 4 days before #14013

Greetings members, I am writing here due to maximum frustration working with Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) in gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry. I am getting quite a few problems, especially when it comes to eluting the last compounds on the list, and I don't know if any of you could provide me with some kind of solution. We work with a FactorFourTM VF-5ms column (30mx0.25mmx0.25um). Thanks in advanceNaphthalene, 1-Methylnaphthalene, 2-Methylnaphthalene, Acenaphthylene, Acenaphthene*, Fluorene, Phenanthrene, Anthracene, Fluoranthene, Pyrene, Benz[a]anthracene, Chrysene, Benzo fluoranthene, Benzo[k]fluoranthene, Benzo[a]pyrene , Indeno[1,2,3-cd]pyrene, Dibenz[a,h]anthracene, Benzo[ghi]perylene.

Hello! Column or operating conditions may not be adequate. Column manufacturers have a lot of information on this. Take a look at this little brochure from Agilent: www.agilent.com/cs/library/applications/5990-5872EN.pdf
