Good morning,
I know that it is considered an inorganic issue, but ligands can also be organic, as well as coordination compounds such as hemoglobin, which we would even get into in biochemistry. Alluding to Jahn Teller's theorem in the octahedral system and with the crystalline field deployed by the action of the ligands, the consequent deformation of the subshells, the question is whether the potential energies of the sum of the deformed subshells is the same as the sum of potential energies at t sub 2g and e subg before deformation? All the best |
