Cycloalkanes have an IR spectrum very similar to alkanes with CH stretching band slightly below 3000 $cm -1 and CH scissor flexing band for CH 2 at 1465 $cm -1 $. The main difference with alkanes is the absence of the symmetrical stretch band of methyl.

Note the absence of the methyl symmetric bending band that the alkanes exhibit at 1375 cm -1 .
